Orlando was the place to be this weekend for the NBA All-Star Game festivities!

The West won the game, with the assistance of L.A. Laker, Kobe Bryant who broke Michael Jordan’s All-Star Game career scoring leader record with 27 points. Chris Paul (Los Angeles Clippers), Kevin Durant (Oklahoma City Thunder), Blake Griffin (Los Angeles Clippers) and Andrew Bynum (Los Angeles Lakers) were other starters on the roster.

For the East, Derrick Rose (Chicago Bulls), who received 1,514,723 votes, played alongside Dwayne Wade (Miami Heat), LeBron James (Miami Heat) Carmelo Anthony (New York Knicks) and Dwight Howard (Orlando Magic). The East put up a good fight, but the West dominated in the end; final score 152-149.

Tonight’s game opened with Mary J. Blige singing her rendition of the national anthem. Are you feeling the Queen of Hip Hop Soul’s version of The Star Spangled Banner?

Then Nicki Minaj performed hit songs from her multi-platinum, Pink Friday and a single from her sophomore album, Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded.
