By way of Facebook, Mary J. Blige gave fans a first look at her character, Justice Charlier, from the film Rock of Ages. In the film, Charlier is the owner of the Venus Club, an exotic dance establishment. It is reported that Blige will co-star along with Russel Brand, Tom Cruise, Julianne Hough and others.
Rock of Ages was a hit Broadway play that’s coming to the big screen in 2012 and is directed by Adam Shankman.
It’s safe to say that Mary has been bitten by the acting bug, after she completes filming Rock of Ages, she will begin taping a biopic for her starring role as Nina Simone.
