Estelle & Luke James :: BET Music Matters Tour Nashville [Video & Photos]

Estelle9

Industry newcomer, Luke James joined British bombshell, Estelle on her headlining BET Music Matters Tour when it arrived in Music City at Indulge on Saturday, March 3.

Doors opened at 9pm, but the talent didn’t make it to the stage until around 11pm, which may have been the result of a change in the lineup. Bridget Kelly was advertised as part of the roster, but didn’t appear on stage, she must have had the night off!

New Orleans’ native, Luke James, opened the show and had a solid set. His single, I Want You, is gaining popularity, he performed the song during the 2012 BET Honors to rave reviews as he showcased his falsetto skills. Luke sound is classic, his voice has a familiar old school appeal…

On the heels of her All of Me album release, Estelle took the stage shortly after James. In a black sequined dress with a tasteful turban, Estelle gave the crowd hits from her new effort as well as Shine, her 2008 release.

Although Rick Ross didn’t come to the stage, Estelle treated the audience to Break My Heart, the lead single from All of Me, as well as The Life, Speak Ya Mind and Thank You. During the set, Estelle brought Luke James out to collaborate on a sexy rendition of Al Green’s Love & Happiness; watch here.

The entire audience joined her for Thank You, which is getting heavy rotation on the radio and is quickly becoming the 2012 break-up anthem…

She also sang her Grammy Award winning hit, American Boy!

Overall, Luke James and Estelle put on a good show. Big huge shout-out to LoveNoise. If you haven’t already make sure you cop Estelle’s All of Me, it knocks, and keep your eye out for Luke James.

If you’re in or around the Philadelphia area, the last stop on the BET Music Matters Tour hits there tonight! Enjoy!
