Dawn Richard is probably having one of the best days ever!
Today, in addition to the exclusive iTunes release of her EP, Armor On, as well as the reveal of her special edition Heed Magazine cover, the former member of Danity Kane and Dirty Money, stopped by BETs 106 and Park to drop the visual for her new single, Bombs!
Written by Andrew Scott and produced by Druski, Bombs is the lead single and one of ten tracks from Armor On. Dawn’s lyrics match the powerful drum beat of the solo effort, “I go grenade. Y’all go gre-nada. I’m going mutant on these… Cowabunga! Y’all throwing shade, but I’m so summer…”

Dawn is channeling her power in the cover photo of Heed Magazine’s special edition spring issue too, it will release via MagCloud.com on April 20th. Inside the pages, Richard is said to discuss her success with Bad Boy, as well as provide some insight into her plans for the future. A dual cover issue, Laz Alonzo also graces the front page.
A statement appears as the video opens, “The humblest citizen of all the land, when clad in the armor of a righteous cause is stronger than all the hosts of error.” In other words, Diddy ‘Take that! Take that!’ I kid.
With a desert background and a tribal theme that compliments the rhythmic track, Dawn showcases both her vocal and dance skills in Bombs…
